"We will try our best to teach our players what we want”

A National Team (Futsal) published on: 28.02.2023 print
The national team of Azerbaijan, which will play against Greece on March 3 within the main stage of the 2024 Futsal World Cup, organized an open training session for the press today. Before the training, the head coach of the national team Jose Alesio da Silva and goalkeeper Rovshan Huseynli answered the journalists' questions.
"We will try our best to teach our players what we want”
Josa Alesio da Silva: “We have limited time for preparation. This is due to the lack of time allocated by FIFA for official games. We will have total 5 exercises. Therefore, we could not try our hand at a friendly game. We will try to teach the players what we want in a short time.
We have faced our opponent team from Greece 3 times in the last 2 years and defeated them. The struggle for the Greek national team is over. They lost all 3 games they played as a group. They will probably try to accumulate points in the last match. We also continue to prepare for the competition with Poland.
Fineo has a minor injury. Amir Shojae was injured in the last match. He did not join the team. His absence will not seriously affect our plans. Our other players are completely healthy."
Rovshan Huseynli: “We will appear in the field to win. 3 points are important for us before going to Poland. The fact that the Greek team has no chance of moving the next round does not reassure us. Because there is no easy game or opponent. This game will also affect the rating. Therefore, we do not think about anything but victory.”
