AFFA organized a webinar on the topic of Talent Identification and Player Selection in Football. Coaches, representatives from academies and clubs, and physical education teachers from Baku and the regions participated in the event.
The webinar was presented by Kamran Shahverdiyev, who works in the field of talent identification and scouting in football in Italy. The instructor shared his experience regarding talent identification, player selection, and development, and provided insights into modern approaches.
During the online seminar, topics such as the identification and development of talented players, player assessment based on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes, key stages of the scouting process, data analysis, and the use of modern scouting tools were discussed.
During interactive discussions, participants shared the challenges they face regarding talent identification, player selection, and development in Azerbaijan, and exchanged views on the approaches implemented in clubs and academies, as well as opportunities to apply international best practices.
Participants highly rated the webinar and expressed interest in gaining broader insight into international practices regarding the topic in the future.
