AFFA Football Development Department organized another educational training session for the coaching staff of Imishli Club Academy. The training was held as part of initiative aimed at supporting the development of football academies in the country and implementing a unified development approach.
Sarkhan Huseynov, Head of AFFA Football Development Department, Turjay Ahmadov, a physical conditioning expert, Sakit Rzayev, Academy Supervisor and Coordinator Said Abasov attended the meeting.
Academy Director Rovshan Babayev, Club Executive Director Agshin Mursalov, and all youth coaches played an active role in the event.
Key aspects of player development in modern football academies were discussed during the training. The sessions featured detailed presentations on the Game Model, the Player Pathway, training process planning, the accurate definition of player profiles, the selection of training content appropriate for developmental stages, and the fundamental principles required to produce world-class players.
In addition, the participants' attention was drawn to the importance of shaping the off-field lifestyles and professional behavioral habits of young players, planning physical conditioning across age groups, and implementing unified training and match terminology throughout the academy's age groups.
Conducted through interactive discussions and practical examples, the training aimed to enhance coaches' professional knowledge, implement a unified methodology, and contribute to the more effective organization of the players' long-term development process.
AFFA Football Development Department will continue to hold such educational events in the future to support the development of football academies across the country.
